Protected Lands is a photographic essay of the national parks throughout the United States.
The park system creates an inorganic barrier around the landscape allowing neither growth nor decay.
Perhaps the weight of an ever growing human population would be enough to break this delicate exterior. Possibly a lack of resources will force a hand to shatter these containers and take what’s inside.
Each image in this series has been made using traditional darkroom methods with a process developed by the artist called Geometric Dodging.
