I am a photographer from Hamilton, New Jersey. I started my photography degree at Mercer County Community College in 2014, in 2015 I took a job as a Nikon Representative, and one year later in 2016 I left the country to travel and explore the realm of analog photography. In 2020 I am completing my degree. Specializing in analog processes, I am best known for my medium format landscape photography from my 4 years of traveling. As I am now studying, my work is expanding past landscape photography and moving onto more conceptual work that focuses on themes of the environment, americana style documentation, and surrealism through use of historic processes. After just one semester of returning to school I have been awarded the Lou Draper Memorial Scholarship, CYBIS Art Scholarship, and Thomas George Artist Fund.
My proposed project "Manifest Content" was awarded the Thomas George Artist Fund in May 2020 allowing me to travel across the United States creating images for this surrealist body of work. It will include triptychs, infrared photographs, and multiple negatives overlaid on a single print to re-create a dream-like environment in an organic way. The goal is to create a narrative through photographs where the viewer is taken through various stages of a dream, beginning with standard landscape photography and subtly transitioning to more obscure and abstract images. The body of work is meant to raise awareness for the environment through striking imagery and a narrative.
